The Online Application has been started from 26-09-2020 and will continue upto 31-10-2020 (till 11:59 PM). The candidates filling the online application after the due date will not be considered. Candidates should note that “No offline Applications will be accepted”.

Important Tips and Tricks for Various Posts with Post Code – HPSSSB Exam

Junior Office Assistant-IT (Post Code- 817)

The candidates must have 12th examination certificate from recognized Board/University OR Matriculation certificate from the recognized Board with one/two years Diploma/Certificate from any ITI in Information Technology.
The written examination would be based on basic 10th level pattern with General English, Aptitude, General Hindi & general Knowledge. The candidates are hereby advised to have “Pratiyogita Darpan” for General Knowledge, RS Aggarwal Book of Mathematics to crack the Aptitude Problem of 10th Level, General English/ General Hindi of your School Level will be asked in the examination.
The candidates must have 30 words/minute typing speed in English or 25 words/minute typing speed in Hindi.

Station Fire Officer (Post Code- 818)

The candidates must have B.E. (Fire) from National Fire Service College, Nagpur OR must have degree in Graduate of the Institutions of Fire Engineers, New Delhi OR the candidates should have served as a Sub-Officer (Fire) in a Fire Station run by Government/Public Undertaking for a period of 3 Years. The selection criteria will be simple for the B.E Engineers. Simple ½ marks questions would be asked in the examination according to the syllabus of Fire Engineers and main focus of the questions will be given on the compositions of fire extinguisher systems. To qualify the examination, the candidates must have some physical standards.

Chest- 80 cms (on expansion upto 85 cms)

100 Meters race in 15 seconds
High Jump- 120 cms

Traffic Inspector (Post Code- 819)

The candidates must have passed 10+2 Examination from any recognized Board.
The candidates must have knowledge of “Microsoft Word/Word Processing” in computer domain. The candidates must have basic understanding of Aptitude, English, Hindi and Awareness which you can study from the YouTube Channel “Wifi Study”.

Technician- Boiler (Post Code- 820)

The candidate must have “B” Class Boiler Attendant Certificate which must have been issued by the Chief Inspector of Boilers. The candidates just have to pass the minimum criteria of the selection process by document verification and skill test (if applicable).

Statistical Assistant (Post Code- 821)

The candidates must have B.Com or B.Sc/BA with any of the subjects from Mathematics/ Economics/ Statistics. The questions will be surely from the mode of subjects chosen in the examination form. The questions will be not very tough but just to check the basic understanding of the subject. For reference you can have books of RS Aggarwal for Mathematics, Kotler for Economics and others. Read the subjects and the relevant topics. Go through all the questions of previous year which has been asked in various examinations.

Assistant Store Keeper (Post Code- 822)

The candidates must have 12th from the recognized Board/Institute and One-Year Diploma in the Computer Application from the University of Himachal Pradesh State Government/Central Government. The questions will be of basic type just to check the basic understanding of the subject. The questions pertaining to DCA in Computer will be asked to check your proficiency in the domain.

Steno Typist (Post Code- 823)

The candidates must have 12th certificate from the recognized Board/Institute. The main focus should be on the basic subjects to have the clear information about the subject domain and also candidates have 60 WPM (English Shorthand) and 60 WPM (Hindi Shorthand) writing with 25 WPM (English Typing) and 25 WPM (Hindi Typing) on computer.
The candidates who have knowledge of shorthand must have to try for doubling of their speeds in case they should not have to face any failure. The computer typing must also be increased by the candidate’s side so as to bear the speed in the examination hours.

Inspector Hotels (Post Code- 824)

The candidates must be Graduate from a recognized University with Diploma in Hotel Management OR Bachelor Degree in Tourism Administration from any recognized University. The questions asked in the examination will be General Awareness, Arithmetic Aptitude, English, the domain subject. So prepare well in the domain section as would cover maximum of the marks.

Junior Engineer Mech/Civil/Electrical (Post Code- 825/828/829)

The candidates must have Degree or Diploma in the concerned subject along with the preparation of Aptitude, English, Reasoning etc. The questions will be set in this pattern only. The candidates must have to focus more on their domain subjects as they would cover 85% of the total marks. So prepare well in your domain subjects to crack the examination. Focus more on the theory subjects and the questions as the questions will be easy and will of objective type.

Junior Scale Stenographer (Post Code- 831)

As earlier mention in the stenographer post section, the subjects are the same, but here English Shorthand writing will be 80 WPM required and Hindi Shorthand writing will be 70 WPM required. The computer typing speed will be 40 WPM in English & 30 WPM in Hindi.

Assistant Manager technical (Post Code- 833)

The candidates must have B.Tech in Textile/Leather Technology/Fashion Designing. The questions will be asked from the domain itself. So the candidates are requested to put their full energy in the domain subjects and prepare well in the examination.

Workshop Instructor Carpentry/Fitting (Post Code- 835/836)

The candidates must have Diploma OR ITI in the concerned field and questions asked will be of basic level of 10th standard.

Junior Draughtsman Civil/Electrical (Post Code- 838)

The candidates must have Degree or Diploma in Architecture or Course in the trade of Draughtsman Ship in the concerned field. The questions will be of basic 10th level and there could be proficiency test in the related field. So you must go through your diploma subjects in advance to prepare for the best.

Junior Officer, Supervisor Trainee Environment (Post Code- 840)

The candidates must have Full time Regular Master Degree in Environment Science/Forestry/Wild Life/Natural Resources/ Wood Science/ Environment Planning/ Ecology from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks. The questions will be a little tough and the domain concerned. So prepare well and the examination would cover 85% of the total marks thus obtained.

Computer Operator (Post Code- 848)

The candidates must have Bachelors in Computer/Information Technology OR 03 years Diploma in CS/IT from a recognized Board/University. The questions will be same as Diploma Level. So the candidates are requested to go through your syllabus and crack the examination.

Restorer (Post Code- 858)

The candidates must have Matriculation with 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board with 2nd Division. The questions will be same. The part comprises with Aptitude, English, Hindi & General Awareness. You can follow “Wifi Study” and “Study IQ” YouTube channel for your preparation.

Now candidates, you have got the correct preparation tips of 85% of marks that is there will be 170 questions of ½ marks. Now we are giving you the detailing of the 15 marks criteria.

  1. Weightage of the examination percentage thus obtained by the candidate multiplied by 0.025. Suppose you have got 50% of the marks. Ten according to the rule you will be given (50×0.025= 1.25 Marks).
  2. The candidates belonging to Backward Area or Panchayat of Himachal Pradesh then 1 mark will be allotted to them.
  3. Landless or having less than 1 hectare of land will be given 1 mark.
  4. Non Employment family Certificate produced by the candidate, then 1 mark will be allotted to them.
  5. Candidate with 40% of impairment, then 1 mark will be allotted to them.
  6. NSS of atleast 1 year or Medal Winner candidate will be allotted 1 mark.
  7. BPL family having less than 40,000 yearly will be allotted 1 mark.
  8. Widow/Divorced/Destitute/ Single Woman candidate will be allotted 1 mark.
  9. Single Daughter/ Orphan candidate will be allotted 1 mark.
  10. Trainee of atleast 6 months from a recognized university candidate will be allotted 1 mark.
  11. The candidates having experience of maximum 5 years in Govt./Semi Govt., the 0.5 marks will be allotted to then for each year and the candidate having 5 years of experience will be given 2.5 marks.
